Perfect Baseball Weather

Here are a few pictures of Zach's first baseball game of this season. He is on the Gilmore Construction team. He is at the coach pitch level and did pretty well for his first game. It was a gorgous day (though a bit warmer than I thought it would be) and he had a blast. Pictures of other games will follow, these are through the homeplate fence which isn't the best view but I am sure we will be able to get better pictures as the season progresses.

Phun times @ w/the Phantoms

Here is a collection of photos from our last trip to the Phantoms game. It was the Phantoms last regular season game to be played in the Spectrum. There was a pretty impressive opening ceremony where they introduced all the players/coaches etc. and lowered a banner dedicated to the phans. Lots of lights and music, the kids thought it was pretty cool. The Phantoms played an exceptional game against the Hershey Bears, ended up winning and clinching a playoff spot (still not sure how I feel about that :O). Each of the boys was able to sit in the booth with Daddy for a whole period and "call" the game with him. They thought that was pretty darn cool. Who knows maybe next year they will be sitting in a Flyers press booth with Daddy :O).

Nolan's first night in a BIG boy bed :o)

This was Nolan's first night in his new Big Boy bed. He and Zachary were very excited to be sharing a room and sleeping in bunk beds. It is now 4 months later and they still enjoy sharing a room. Zachary especially likes sleeping on the top bunk. :p)

As a side note, I am truly hoping to keep this updated with new pictures and news on a more regular basis. It has been a very busy year with being pregnant, finishing up my masters degree (yay me!) and getting ready for the new baby. Those of you on facebook I will post links to here when I update. Everyone else will just have to check back here often and hope. Feel free to leave comments or yell when it's time for an update! :p)

Nolan's First Haircut

OK - so I know it's been a little over a month since my last post but between selling our house and buying a new house and starting back to work full time, I have been a bit busy. Not to mention taking care of two kiddos under the age of 5 :o). We will be moving into the new house in two weeks (ummm, no we are not ready yet, this is us we are talking about) and hopefully once we are settled in our new house things will settle down a bit.

So, to the topic on hand, here is the slide show of Nolan's first haircut. Papa Smith finally convinced me to let him do it. It turned out to be a two person job. Between him and myself I think we did a pretty good job. There are also some pictures of Nolan torturing Frances the cat. Enjoy!

Evening at the Park

These are photos of the kids at their favorite park in Odessa. It has equipment for little ones and older ones plus a basketball court, walking path, and picnic tables. We had been working most of the day on the house (trying to get it ready to put up for sale) and decided we needed to take the kids out and have some fun. We picked up some awesome subs from the new Capsula's, which is just a walk from our house, and had a picnic dinner at the park. Zachary thought this was really cool :o). We spent quite a bit of time there playing and having fun. One of the best parts (for mommy and daddy anyway) was that all the fresh air made for tired children who slept all night!

By the way, Nolan is officially a walker. He doesn't even like to hold anyones' hands when he is toddling around! The only time he really crawls now is when he wants to tear around the house like a speed demon :o). He is really proud of himself and Mommy, Daddy, and Zachary are also very proud of him. He is really getting quite a personality.

Zachary is now getting to be so independent! He wants to do everything for himself. One morning he even got up and made himself waffles for breakfast before Mommy even got out of bed. Still not sure how I feel about that but he knows how to be safe and when to ask for help which is always a good thing.

Zachary had a great 4th birthday. One of his favorite gifts was the pair roller blades that Brian and I got him (and all the appropriate safety gear). Check out the photos of him posing in his blades and pads, very cool.

He loved all of his gifts! We thank everyone who came out to help celebrate this occasion. I can't believe that in 3 months he will be turning 5. He won't be starting Kindergarten this year (the cut off is August 30th) but he will be going to preschool/daycare full time starting in August.

They grow up so fast!

As I add new photos I will take the old ones out. There should be fresh pictures once a week or so. New Pictures

OK. So it has been a really long time since I have posted anything new on this page. I was busy for a while and then I just kind of forgot about it. So it's been a month shy of a year since I last put pictures up here. The original idea was to update this site at least once a month so friends and family could keep updated on the kids. Well, obviously that didn't happen. But, alas, I would like to try again.

A lot has happened in since last July. I am going to start out by posting recent pictures from this past month and then as I acquire them from Brian's computer I will post pictures from the past year. I will hopefully be adding pictures of holidays, birthdays, sporting events, and family gatherings in the next week or so. For now enjoy these of the boys!
